ST500 / TV500

Isolating signal converter for process control signals, converting 0/4 ... 20 mA or 0/2 ... 10 V DC inputs to selectable current and voltage outputs. 22.5mm DIN rail case, 3-port isolation and ST500 transmitter supply.

Introduction

Field transmitters often need both signal conditioning and a dependable supply from the control cabinet. ST500 combines signal isolation and conversion with an integrated, fully floating transmitter supply of approx. 24 V DC.
 
The device converts 0/4 ... 20 mA or 0/2 ... 10 V DC field signals into selectable process control outputs. Front DIP switches configure input and output ranges, while the current output supports a max. burden of 1 kΩ for direct control of I/P transmitters and 20 mA proportional valves. Voltage output is available simultaneously.
 
Full 3-port isolation separates input, output and supply for stable integration into industrial control systems. The 22.5mm DIN rail case saves cabinet space, and supply options cover 100 ... 265 V AC or 10.8 ... 30 V AC/DC. Measuring range variants provide T90 <20 ms or T90 <100 μs for faster signal transmission.

Features

Switch selectable inputs

The input range is configured on the front panel for 0 ... 20 mA, 4 ... 20 mA, 0 ... 10 V DC or 2 ... 10 V DC.

Current and voltage outputs

The output can be selected for 0 ... 20 mA, 4 ... 20 mA, 0 ... 10 V or 2 ... 10 V, with current and voltage output available simultaneously.

Transmitter supply

ST500 versions provide a fully floating isolated transmitter supply for connected field devices.

Supply voltage variants

Versions are available for 100 ... 265 V AC or 10.8 ... 30 V AC/DC auxiliary voltage.

Response time options

Measuring range 10 provides T90 <20 ms. Measuring range 11 provides T90 <100 µs for faster signal transmission.

Adjustment controls

The measuring range and 4mA/2V value can be adjusted by approx. +/-5% using front panel controls.

DIN rail housing

The device uses a 22.5mm polycarbonate case for TH35 DIN rail mounting, with housing IP30 and terminals IP20.
