Hazardous process areas call for temperature measurement that is precise, stable and approved for the environment. This screw-in Pt100 resistance thermometer measures temperatures in gases, vapors, liquids and dusts, with approval for ATEX gas and dust explosion requirements.
The exchangeable measuring insert allows the actual Pt100 sensor to be removed from the protection tube and replaced without draining the pipe or vessel. That reduces service effort and helps avoid production loss. Accuracy classes AA, A and B according to IEC 60751 support the required measurement quality, while the high-temperature version extends the process range to -200°C...+600°C.
The PTX adapts to many process layouts with thread, flange or sliding-sleeve connection options, optional neck tube and CrNi-steel, aluminum, PP or POM terminal enclosures. Integrated head transmitters provide a fixed or programmable 4…20 mA signal, while ingress protection (IP67) supports reliable operation in industrial installations.
The thermometer uses a long-term stable platinum Pt100 sensor and supports 1x Pt100 in 2-, 3- or 4-wire connection and 2x Pt100 in 2-wire connection.
Available connection types include G½"B and G1"B threads to ISO 228-1, DN25 and DN50 flanges to DIN EN 1092-1, and a version without fixed connection for sliding sleeve use.
Probe options include CrNi-steel diameters of Ø8 mm, Ø10 mm and Ø12 mm, with reduced-tip variants listed for selected diameters.
A neck tube can be selected to reduce heat transfer from the process to the terminal enclosure in high-temperature applications.
Terminal enclosure variants include PP, POM, aluminum form B to EN 50446, CrNi-steel and aluminum double-size versions.
Connection types include terminal socket, loose wires, 2x terminal socket and integrated ExKTM-_A0 or UTN500-B head transmitter options.
