Safety-related temperature monitoring in liquid or gaseous media needs a sensor that combines fast response with proven limiter suitability. This safety RTD sensor measures exhaust gas and air and is certified for Safety Temperature Limiter STL50 applications according to SIL 2 (DIN EN 61508) and DIN EN 14597.
The design uses 2 x Pt100 class A, 3-wire measuring elements for reliable temperature detection across a maximum operating temperature of -100..+600 °C. The response table states typical T63.2 % times of 20 s in water, 30 s in oil and 85 s in air.
A reduced 9/6 mm stainless steel 1.4571 protection tube, 40 bar process pressure rating and ingress protection (IP) IP65 aluminum BSZ terminal head support robust process installation. Neck pipe lengths of 50 mm or 140 mm and installation lengths from 100 to 600 mm are available, with custom lengths on request.
The sensor contains 2 x Pt100 class A measuring elements in 3-wire configuration.
The standard variation is Ex certified according to ATEX Ex-ia IIC T6.
The protection tube has a 9 mm to 6 mm reduced design and is made from stainless steel 1.4571.
The sensor uses a G 1/2 B process connection.
Standard neck pipe lengths are 50 mm and 140 mm, with custom neck pipe length on request.
