Isolating signal converter for unipolar and bipolar field signals, converting 0/4..20 mA, 0/2..10 V, ±20 mA or ±10 V DC with full 3-port isolation and selectable increasing or decreasing output.

Introduction

Process control systems often need one compact interface for different analog signal types. TV500L isolates and converts unipolar or bipolar field signals into industry standard 0/4..20 mA and 0/2..10 V DC signals or corresponding bipolar outputs.
 
Flexible range selection helps reduce cabinet variants: inputs and outputs are configurable by DIP-switch, with versions for 0/4..20 mA, 0/2..10 V, ±20 mA and ±10 V DC. The output characteristic can be set for increasing or decreasing behavior, supporting applications where an inverted signal is required.
 
Full 3-port isolation separates input, output and supply, with 3 kV test voltage between circuits. The 22.5 mm DIN rail housing, power-on LED and screw terminals up to 2.5 mm² support straightforward installation in control cabinets.

Features

Selectable input ranges

Input versions are available for 0/4..20 mA and 0/2..10 V DC, or for ±20 mA and ±10 V DC. Configuration is made by DIP-switch on the front panel.

Selectable output ranges

Output versions provide 0/4..20 mA and 0/2..10 V DC, or ±20 mA and ±10 V DC. Current output is selected by linking terminals 8 and 9.

Output characteristic

The output characteristic curve is programmable for increasing or decreasing behavior. The required input and output signal should be stated in clear text when specified.

Signal adjustment

Start value and end value are adjustable by ±1.5 %, supporting adaptation to the selected signal range during setup

Power supply options

Versions are available for 230 V AC ±10 % or 24 V DC ±15 %. AC supply operates at 47..63 Hz.

DIN rail housing

The polycarbonate case mounts on TS35 DIN rails and provides case IP30 with IP20 terminals according to BGV A3.
