Reliable temperature monitoring is easier when alarms, display and signal output are combined in one rail-mounted device. This temperature guard monitors Pt100, Pt1000 and thermocouple J, K, N and S inputs, with measuring ranges from -100.0..+600.0 °C for Pt100 and up to -50..+1600 °C for Type S.
Up to four SPDT alarm outputs can be used for temperature monitoring tasks, with min. or max. relay functions and programmable fault behavior. An optional fully isolated analog output provides 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V DC and changes automatically depending on the connected burden.
The 128 x 64 pixel graphic LCD display with white backlighting supports clear programming and local reading. Peak values for minimum and maximum measured temperature are stored in the background and can be called up at any time. Fault monitoring covers broken wire for RTD and thermocouples, plus short circuit for Pt100/Pt1000.
The device supports Pt100 and Pt1000 in 3-wire connection, plus thermocouples Type J, K, N and S with integrated cold junction compensation.
Alarm relays can be programmed as min. or max. functions. Versions support two or four SPDT relay outputs depending on configuration.
The optional isolated analog output provides 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V DC and switches automatically according to the connected burden.
The device monitors broken wire for RTD and thermocouple inputs, and short circuit for Pt100 and Pt1000 inputs.
In a fault case, the analog output can be configured to 0 mA, < 3.6 mA or >21.5 mA, while alarm relays can follow min. or max. function.
Programming is carried out with front buttons in connection with the graphic LCD display.
Minimum and maximum measured temperatures are stored in the background and can be read from the display.
The PA6.6 housing mounts on TS35 according to DIN EN 60715 and uses screw terminals from 0.14..2.5 mm².
