Thermal processes need a clear, reliable response when a limit is reached or a fault occurs. This temperature limiter and temperature monitor evaluates the connected signal and switches the system to a safe operating state via the main relay when the threshold or an error is detected.
Universal inputs support Pt100 sensors, double thermocouples and standardized 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V signals. The safety threshold is configurable, while a second relay provides an independent preliminary alarm. An analog output can be defined within the measuring range of the temperature input for monitoring or control systems.
Operation is menu-based via three front capacitive buttons and an illuminated graphic LC display with white/red background lighting for alarm visibility. Certified according to EN 14597 and available with optional EN 61508 SIL2 approval, the TB225 offers safe 3-way galvanic isolation and a wide-range 18..230 V AC/DC supply.
The device provides maximum or minimum monitoring with catch and manual reset after fault elimination via front keys or external reset signal.
The monitor function provides maximum or minimum monitoring without catch and automatic reset when the value returns to the permissible range.
Inputs are configurable for Pt100, double thermocouples Type J, K, N and S, and standardized analog signals 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V.
The main relay provides the safety function with configurable threshold. The additional relay offers independent preliminary alarm signaling.
The analog output can be set to 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V DC and freely defined within the temperature input measuring range.
Three front capacitive buttons provide access to display, input, output and function menus, including unit, contrast, lighting and language settings.
Terminals can be configured for external reset, full keylock or parameter lock, depending on the selected operating requirements.
The PA6.6 housing mounts on TS35 according to DIN EN 60715 and uses screw terminals for connection in control panels.
