Current- and voltage transmitter

CVT500

Current and voltage transmitter for AC/DC signal conversion, measuring currents up to 5 A and voltages up to 400 V, with selectable 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V DC output and DIN rail mounting.

Introduction

Control systems need clean standard signals from different electrical inputs. CVT500 converts DC and sinusoidal AC current or voltage signals into proportional industry standard outputs, helping engineers integrate electrical measurements into process control without separate transmitter types.

The transmitter supports direct measurement of currents up to 5 A and voltages up to 400 V, with standard ranges of 0..1 A, 0..5 A, 0..125 V and 0..250 V. AC or DC input selection is made by DIP switch on the front panel, while the measuring end value can be adjusted by ± 5 % for application-specific scaling.

Integration is straightforward in control cabinets. The output is switch selectable between 0/4..20 mA and 0/2..10 V DC, and full 3-port isolation separates input, output and supply voltage. The 22.5 mm polycarbonate case mounts on TS35 DIN rail and provides IP30 housing protection with IP20 terminals.

Features

Input signal selection

The front-panel DIP switch changes the measuring input between AC and DC operation.

Standard input ranges

The standard device provides current inputs of 0..1 A and 0..5 A, plus voltage inputs of 0..125 V and 0..250 V.

Custom measuring ranges

Special current and voltage ranges can be configured within the stated end value limits for AC/DC applications.

Output configuration

The output can be set to voltage or current operation; current output requires a link between terminals 8 and 9

Span adjustment

The measuring end value is adjustable by ± 5 % to align the output with the selected measuring range

DIN rail housing

The device uses a 22.5 mm polycarbonate case for TS35 DIN rail mounting, with screw terminals up to 2.5 mm²
