Digital conductivity transmitter

CONDIX4213

Conductivity converter for liquid media, measuring conductivity from 0...500mS/cm and temperature from -50..+200°C with RS485 Modbus RTU, IP67 protection and selectable temperature compensation.

Introduction

Conductivity measurement in demanding water applications needs stable values, even when media are conductive, contaminated or difficult to handle. CONDIX4213 measures the specific conductivity of liquid media and provides process values, identification data and diagnostic data to a master system via RS485 with Modbus RTU protocol.
The 4-electrode measuring principle with a C0.5 1/cm cell constant supports applications up to 500 mS/cm and reduces the influence of pollution, polarization effects and wire resistance. This makes the converter well suited for landfill seepage water, seawater and black water treatment on ships.
Commissioning stays practical: parameters and input configuration are adjustable via the interface or SENSware, while selectable temperature compensation functions adapt the measurement to the application. IP67 protection and PVC-U process material support reliable integration.

Features

Conductivity and temperature measurement

Measures specific conductivity of liquid media and records temperature with an integrated Pt1000 measuring element.

MODBUS RTU interface

Provides conductivity, temperature, system status, parameters, identification data and diagnostics via RS485 Half-Duplex.

Parameterization

Device parameters and input configuration can be adjusted via the interface, SENSware configuration software or MULTICON-H.

Temperature compensation

Selectable modes include no compensation, linear coefficient, natural waters, ASTM-D1125 ultra-pure water, NaCl diluted solution, ASTM-D5391 acidic pure water and ASTM-D5391 alkaline pure water.

Process connection

Uses a PVC fitting with cap nut and supports installation with PVC-U standard fittings.

Electrical connection

Uses an 8 pole round connector plug with brass nickel plated design

Optical signaling

LEDs indicate supply voltage, bus communication and addressing status.

Addressing

Addressing can be realized with a field attachable female connector or in a junction box.
