Oxygen measuring transmitter for air monitoring

OXY3690MP

Oxygen measuring transducer for air oxygen monitoring, with 0.0-100.0 % display range, electrochemical partial oxygen pressure sensor, 4-digit LCD and 4-20 mA or voltage output.

Introduction

Continuous air oxygen monitoring needs a device that gives operators a clear local reading and a usable output for control or recording systems. This measuring transducer displays oxygen content directly in %, while the output signal can be supplied as 4-20 mA or voltage, depending on the device type.

The family works with electrochemical partial oxygen pressure sensors and shows the oxygen value on an approx. 10 mm high, 4-digit LCD. For service checks, the display can also show the sensor temperature and electrode rating, giving maintenance teams useful information after calibration.

Installation is straightforward in fixed applications. The ABS housing is designed for wall mounting and rated to ingress protection (IP) IP65, with the exception of the sensor and temperature probe connection sockets. Configuration allows the average ambient absolute pressure to be set from 500...2000 mbar, supporting correct electrode rating evaluation at different altitudes.

Features

Electrochemical sensor principle

The transducer uses electrochemical partial oxygen pressure sensors for gaseous oxygen measurement in air-related applications.

Display functions

The display shows oxygen content during normal operation and can switch to sensor temperature or electrode rating by key input.

Sensor calibration

Calibration is performed in ambient air after the sensor has adapted to ambient temperature, with error messages for invalid conditions.

Pressure configuration

The average ambient absolute pressure can be configured from 500...2000 mbar for correct electrode rating evaluation.

Electrical connection

Connection is made via an elbow-type plug conforming to DIN 43650, with wiring options for 2-wire, 3-wire or 4-wire connection depending on device type.

Housing and mounting

The ABS housing includes internal fixing holes for wall mounting and measures 82 x 80 x 55 mm without elbow-type plug and sensor sockets.

Operating conditions

The device operates at 0 to 45°C and 0 to 95 %RH non-condensing, with storage temperature from -20 to 70°C.
