Temperature measuring transmitter

MU125

Temperature measuring transducer for 4..20 mA conversion of Pt100, Pt1000, thermocouple, NTC and resistance signals, with DIP-switch configuration, trim potentiometers and 12.5 mm TS35 rail housing.

Introduction

Reliable signal conversion in the switch cabinet starts with a transducer that adapts to different sensor types without taking extra space. This 12.5 mm device converts temperature or resistance values from Pt100, Pt1000, thermocouples, NTC sensors and linear resistance inputs into a 4..20 mA current signal.

Front DIP switches make input configuration clear during commissioning, while 12-turn trim potentiometers allow zero point setting and end value reduction directly on the device. A service mode supports checking factory settings, pre-adjusting a new output characteristic curve with a current measuring device, or simulating a constant output value.

The MU125 is designed for TS35 carrier rail mounting in control cabinets. Versions are available with 24 V DC supply, 24 V DC via carrier rail bus, or wide-range supply from 20..125 V DC and 20..250 V AC. With Pt100 and Pt1000 sensors, sensor break and short-circuit monitoring drive the analog output to approx. 0 mA and blink the LED red.

Features

Sensor input selection

The input is set via DIP switches for Pt100, Pt1000, thermocouples, NTC sensors or linear resistance measurement.

Analog output

The device converts the selected measurement value into a 4..20 mA current signal for further processing by connected systems.

Trim potentiometers

Front 12-turn trim potentiometers adjust the zero point and reduce the end value within the defined setting limits.

Service mode

Service mode checks the calibrated factory setting, supports output characteristic curve adjustment and can simulate a constant current output.

Power supply versions

Versions are available for 24 V DC, 24 V DC with carrier rail bus connection, or wide-range supply of 20..125 V DC and 20..250 V AC.

Carrier rail mounting

The 12.5 mm PA6.6 housing mounts on TS35 carrier rail and uses removable coded screw terminals or optional push-in terminals.

Sensor fault monitoring

Pt100 and Pt1000 ranges include monitoring for sensor break and short circuit. The operation LED indicates input errors.

Resistance measurement

Linear resistance inputs cover 0..2 kΩ, 0..5 kΩ and 0..10 kΩ, with zero point and end value adjustment via trim potentiometers.
