Monitoring relay

MR50

Monitoring relay for standard analog signals, with 0/4..20 mA and 0/2..10 V DC inputs, programmable measuring range, up to 4 SPDT alarm outputs, 24 V DC transmitter supply and optional isolated analog output.

Introduction

Analog process values become more useful when limits, faults and trends are visible directly in the cabinet. MR50 monitors standard 0/4..20 mA and 0/2..10 V DC signals, shows the measured value with the programmed unit on a graphic LCD and switches alarm outputs when configured limits are reached.

The measuring range is programmable and supports installed units such as mV, V, mA, °C, bar, %, rpm and many others, with custom units also programmable. Up to 4 SPDT alarm outputs can be set as min. or max. functions, with switch-on and switch-off delays from 1 s up to 9 h. Peak values for minimum and maximum measurements are stored in the background for display.

For direct field integration, MR50 includes a 24 V DC transmitter supply up to 30mA for loop powered sensors. An optional galvanically isolated analog output provides 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V DC, while wire break monitoring can set defined analog and alarm output behavior in the event of a fault.

Features

Standard signal input

The device accepts 0/4..20 mA and 0/2..10 V DC industry standard input signals.

Programmable measuring range

The measuring range and displayed unit are configured using the front buttons and LCD menu.

Alarm output setup

Alarm outputs A1 to A4 can be programmed as minimum or maximum switching functions with adjustable delay times.

Peak value memory

Minimum and maximum measured values are stored in the background and can be read from the display.

Optional analog output

The isolated analog output provides 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V DC and changes automatically depending on burden impedance.

DIN rail housing

The PA6.6 housing mounts on TH 35 DIN rail and uses screw terminals for 0.14 ... 2.5 mm² conductors.
