Class A albedometer for high-accuracy solar reflectance

LPS11

Albedometer for high-accuracy solar reflectance, measuring incident and reflected solar radiation from 200…4000 W/m2. Spectrally Flat Class A with passive mV output, 283…2800 nm spectral range and IP 67 protection.

Introduction

High-quality albedo data depends on measuring both incoming and reflected solar radiation with the same level of care. This albedometer uses two independent thermopile pyranometers, one facing upward and one downward, to determine net solar radiation and albedo for demanding outdoor monitoring tasks.

The LPS110P0 is built from two LPS100P0 Spectrally Flat Class A pyranometers according to ISO 9060:2018. With a 200…4000 W/m2 measuring range, 283…2800 nm spectral range and WMO-compliant pyranometers, it supports reliable solar reflectance measurements where data quality is critical.

Installation and operation remain practical in the field. The passive mV output requires no power supply, and two 5-pole M12 connections provide independent signals from the upper and lower sensors. IP 67 protection, anodized aluminum housing, ASA screen and optical glass domes support outdoor use, while the integrated bubble level helps achieve accurate horizontal positioning.

Features

Dual pyranometer layout

The albedometer uses one upward-facing pyranometer for global solar radiation and one downward-facing pyranometer for reflected solar radiation.

Class A sensors

LPS110P0 consists of two LPS100P0 Spectrally Flat Class A pyranometers according to ISO 9060:2018.

Passive mV output

The albedometer does not require power supply. Each sensor provides a passive mV output for measurement by a suitable reading instrument.

Independent connections

Two 5-pole M12 connections provide separate signals from the upper and lower pyranometers.

Calibration report

The sensors are factory calibrated according to ISO 9847:2023 and supplied with a calibration report including temperature response and directional response.

Installation support

The support rod is fixed to a vertical mast using a cross clamp. The integrated bubble level facilitates horizontal positioning during installation.
