Reliable illuminance monitoring starts with a probe that follows the visual response relevant to lighting assessment. LPPHOT01 measures illuminance in lux with a spectral response aligned to the standard photopic curve V(λ), making it suitable for indoor applications requiring constant light monitoring.
The class B luxmeter probe uses a photodiode with filter and diffuser, converting photocurrent into a potential difference that is read by a voltmeter. No external power supply is required, and the measured value is calculated from the probe-specific calibration factor marked on the housing.
For dependable readings across changing incidence angles, the probe includes a cosine corrected diffuser with f2 below 3%. It covers 0...200 klux, offers <4% calibration accuracy and operates from 0...50°C. The compact Ø 30 mm x 38 mm housing with 5 meters cable supports straightforward connection to the reading instrument.
The probe measures illuminance as the luminous flux passing through a surface divided by the surface area.
