Piston inline flow transmitter for viscous media

LABOPLUS-HD2

Flow transmitter for viscous media such as oils, covering 0.5 ... 60 l/min and 30 ... 330 mm²/s with spring-supported variable-area measurement, IO-Link, analog output and IP65 / IP67 protection.

Introduction

Flow measurement in hydraulic and lubrication circuits often has to cope with oils and changing viscosities. This transmitter family is designed for oils and other viscous media from 30 ... 330 mm²/s, with viscosity-stabilized measuring ranges from 0.5 ... 8 to 12 ... 60 l/min. The spring-supported variable-area principle works without required inlet or outlet runs, helping simplify installation in compact pipework.

For demanding industrial systems, the robust brass or stainless steel versions support pressure ratings of PN 200, with PN 500 available on request. Medium temperatures cover -20 ... +85 °C as standard and up to +150 °C with distance pieces, giving the device a strong fit for higher-temperature applications.

Commissioning and integration stay flexible. IO-Link allows digital configuration and measured value readout, while the analog output can be set to current or voltage ranges. The switching output can also be configured as a limit switch, frequency output, pulse output or preset counter signal.

Features

Spring-supported variable-area principle

A magnet-equipped float is deflected against a spring by the flowing medium. Magnetic field sensors detect the float position outside the flow chamber.

Measuring range variants

The family covers nominal sizes DN 8 ... DN 25 with ranges from 0.5 ... 8 l/min to 12.0 ... 60 l/min, depending on the selected version.

Mechanical connection

Versions use female thread connections from G ¼ to G 1. Other connection types are available on request according to the source information.

Housing materials

The product family is available in brass and stainless steel versions, with wetted materials specified for each construction.

IO-Link interface

The integrated electronics support IO-Link V1.1.4, COM2 communication, block parameterization and data storage.

Analog output

The analog output can be configured for current or voltage operation, including 4 ... 20 mA, 0 ... 20 mA, 0 ... 10 V and further voltage ranges.

Switching output functions

The switching output is a push-pull transistor output and can be configured as a limit switch, frequency output, pulse output or preset counter signal.

Electrical connection

The device connects via a 4-pin M12x1 circular connector and operates with an 18 ... 30 V DC supply.
