Current alarm module

H2CM

Current alarm module for heating circuit supervision, monitoring 1..80 A load current in 1~ 48..530 V AC SSR temperature control circuits with 0..60 s alarm delay and DIN rail mounting.

Introduction

Heating faults in molding tools can quickly affect part quality. This current alarm module monitors the total heating current in SSR-controlled temperature circuits, helping operators detect incorrect function of heating elements and the solid state relay during production.

The module is designed for load circuits from 1~ 48..530 V AC and load currents from 1..80 A at 50/60 Hz. An adjustable alarm delay from 0..60 s helps adapt the response to the process, while the bistable drive circuit accepts 3..28 V DC control input signals via opto coupler.

Typical applications include quality supervision in injection molding machines, thermoform machines and rubber parts production. With 2-port isolation, TS35 DIN rail mounting and finger-safe terminal cover for the load side, the module is suited to compact control cabinet installation near solid state relays.

Features

SSR circuit monitoring

The module measures total heating current in temperature control circuits operating with solid state relays

Control input

The drive circuit uses an opto-coupler input with off at \leq 1 V DC and on at 3...28 V DC.

Teach-in input

A teach-in input is provided with off at \leq 2 V DC and on at 6..30 V DC.

Alarm output

The alarm output is a short-circuit-proof PNP-transistor open collector rated to 50 mA max.
