Introduction

Hazardous industrial areas often leave little room for installation, while temperature measurement still has to match the Ex zone and process limits. This compact resistance temperature probe is designed as an insertion sensor for explosive atmospheres and uses an M12 connection for detachable cable integration.
 
Pt100 and Pt1000 versions use sheathed resistance thermometer elements in 4-wire design. Depending on configuration, Pt100/Pt1000 versions cover -50 ... +100 °C without neck tube. With neck tube, Pt100 versions cover -200 ... +600 °C and Pt1000 versions cover -70 ... +600 °C.
 
The standard GTF 111-Ex design uses a 100 mm probe length, 6 mm probe tube diameter and stainless steel probe tube. Configurable probe tube diameters from 3 to 8 mm and neck tube designs support different installation requirements, while Ex ia versions are listed for defined gas and dust zones.

4-wire design

Pt100 and Pt1000 versions use a 4-wire electrical connection for the measuring circuit.

Standard construction

The standard GTF 111-Ex version has a 100 mm probe length, 6 mm probe tube diameter and wall thickness of at least 1.0 mm.

Neck tube version

Versions with neck tube are listed with a standard neck tube length of 50 mm.

Probe materials

The probe tube is made from stainless steel, with listed material options including 1.4404, 1.4435 and 1.4571.

Configurable dimensions

Possible probe tube diameters are 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm, depending on the selected configuration.

Thread options

Possible external thread types include G, R, NPT and M with several listed thread sizes.
