Moisture meter for caravan, boat, wood and GRP checks

GMK 210

Moisture meter for caravan and boat checks in wood, GRP and insulation materials, with %u or %w display, 10 mm and 25 mm measuring depths, detector mode, visual/acoustic rating and backlight.

Introduction

Hidden moisture in caravans, motor homes and boat hulls can cause expensive damage long before stains become visible. This capacitive handheld meter helps detect and evaluate moisture in wood, GRP and light insulation materials without damaging the surface.

For targeted checks, the device offers 10 mm and 25 mm measuring depths and displays either material moisture %u or water content %w. Material curves for wood, GRP and insulation materials support application-specific measurements, while the rEF curve enables high-resolution relative comparisons on other materials.

Detector mode makes it easier to scan larger areas for moisture accumulation, metal structures or beams using relative digit values and an adjustable alarm threshold. A 6-level WET to DRY bar graph, acoustic signal, hold function and backlight support clear, comfortable readings in typical caravan and boat inspection areas.

Find hidden moisture
Detector mode helps locate moisture accumulation using relative digit values.
Caravan and boat fit
Designed for moisture ratings on caravans, motor homes and GRP boat hulls.
Two depths
Select 10 mm or 25 mm to check surface layers or deeper material conditions.
Material coverage
Curves cover wood, GRP and light insulation materials such as Styrofoam.
Clear rating
6-level WET to DRY bar graph and beeper support quick moisture evaluation.
Field handling
Hold function and backlight make checks easier in difficult positions.

Features

Capacitive measuring principle

The device measures by means of an electric field from the rear measuring surface. The full rear surface is placed flat on the material during measurement.

Measuring mode

Measuring mode uses stored material curves and displays readings in %u or %w. The selected material curve and measured value are shown on two displays.

Detector mode

Detector mode works with the rEF curve and relative digit values. The adjustable dEt SCL threshold sets the bar graph and acoustic alarm sensitivity.

Material characteristic curves

Stored characteristics include wood density curves, GRP and ISO for light insulation materials. A wood species table supports selection of the correct wood curve.

Reference measurements

The rEF characteristic allows relative measurements on materials without a stored curve by comparing a dry reference point with other measured points.

Configurable operation

The menu includes detector mode, detector sensitivity, auto power-off, display unit, backlight, acoustic signal and auto hold settings.

Adjustment check

Accuracy can be checked with the optional PW 25 test cube. Slope correction is available for both 10 mm and 25 mm measuring depths.
