Switching in intrinsically safe circuits needs clear limits, robust construction and approved components. This switch head adds Reed contact switching to HD1K, HD1KO, HD2K and HD2KO devices and carries ATEX approval BVS 03 ATEX E390 X for use in intrinsically safe circuits.
The design supports dependable switching in industrial installations where electrical values must stay controlled. The changeover contact is rated for max. 30 V and max. 1 A, with negligible internal capacitance and inductance. A media temperature range of -20...+120 °C helps cover demanding process conditions.
Practical connection options make integration easier. Versions are available with M20x1.5 threaded bore or mounted cable gland for cable diameters from 7...13 mm, each on the inlet or outlet side. The stainless steel housing, nickel-plated brass sliding plate and ingress protection (IP65) support durable use on HD devices.
The switch head uses a Reed contact with changeover function. Electrical values are specified for ohmic loads.
The unit is intended only for intrinsically safe circuits. A suitable isolating switching amplifier must be provided.
Versions are available with M20x1.5 threaded bore or with mounted cable gland for cable diameters from 7...13 mm.
The connection can be positioned on the inlet side or outlet side, depending on the selected version.
The switch head can be adjusted longitudinally. After the switching value is reached, the switching unit is fixed with a fastening screw.
The housing is made of stainless steel with a nickel-plated brass sliding plate and ingress protection (IP65).
