Measuring direct solar irradiance with high accuracy is critical for solar energy research, resource assessment, and photovoltaic performance analysis. Pyrheliometers measure Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) using a narrow field-of-view thermopile sensor and are designed to be mounted on a solar tracker for continuous alignment with the sun. This provides traceable, standards-compliant data for solar resource assessment, system monitoring, and long-term field measurements.
