Radiometric measurements become easier to record and evaluate when mV-output pyranometers and albedometers can be connected directly to the HD31 instrument. This SICRAM module reads thermopile signals in the -25...+25 mV range and supports the display of global radiation in W/m2.
For albedometer measurements, the instrument can show incident and reflected thermopile signals, incident and reflected global radiation, net radiation and albedo. That gives users a clearer view of radiation balance from one connected module, without reducing the measurement to raw voltage values only.
Setup is kept practical on site. The sensor sensitivity is entered in the instrument in nV/(Wm-2), within a range from 5000 to 30000 nV/(Wm-2), with 10000 nV/(Wm-2) as the default value. A 6-pole terminal block with screw connectors supports correct wiring of the pyranometer or albedometer signals.
The module connects pyranometers with mV output and allows the instrument to display the thermopile signal and global radiation.
With an albedometer, the instrument displays incident and reflected thermopile signals, radiation values, net radiation and albedo.
The instrument stores the sensor sensitivity used to calculate global radiation from the output voltage signal.
A 6-pole terminal block with screw connectors is used for wiring the pyranometer or albedometer with correct signal polarity.
