Conductive level control is easier to integrate when the probe signal, relay switching and cabinet mounting are handled in one compact unit. These control units act as low-cost interfaces for conductive level probes and monitor liquids with minimum electrical conductivity from 8 or 10 µS, depending on the version.
Both versions use low-potential alternating current to measure conductivity, helping to reduce electrode incrustation and tank perforation effects associated with direct current. Sensitivity is adjustable up to 250 µS, with a 60 µS factory setting to support practical commissioning after installation.
VNR 23 provides double relay output for alarm or actuator control, while VNR 23M adds two measuring channels, microprocessor technology and adjustable operation delay from 0 to 6 min. With ABS housing, ingress protection (IP) 40 and DIN rail mounting, the family is suited to control cabinet use in level control, metering and safety systems.
The units receive their input signal from conductive level probes and use the liquid conductivity for switching control.
VNR 23 is designed as a double relay interface; VNR 23M provides two measuring channels for control, metering and safety systems.
Sensitivity is adjusted by trimmer. VNR 23 uses a side trimmer, while VNR 23M uses trimmers under the front plate.
The standard power supply is 24 Vac at 50/60 Hz, with 230 Vac available on request.
VNR 23 supplies the probes with 22 Vac. VNR 23M supplies the probes with 15 Vac.
VNR 23 uses an 11-pole terminal board. VNR 23M uses a 17-pole terminal board.
Both versions use an ABS housing for DIN rail mounting and have dimensions of 60 x 100 x 45 mm.
