Isolating switching repeater

TS500

Isolating switching repeater for digital signal monitoring, accepting switching contacts, Namur proximity switches or passive electronic outputs with relay SPDT or voltage-free transistor output options.

Introduction

Digital switching signals need clean transfer into the control system, especially when different sensor types are used across a plant. TS500 monitors and controls digital signals from switching contacts, Namur proximity switches according to DIN EN 60947-5-6 or passive electronic outputs from other devices.

The output stage can be selected to match the application: relay SPDT contacts for switching loads or a voltage-free transistor output for fast electronic switching up to 2 kHz. Line fault detection for broken and shorted lines helps identify wiring issues when used with Namur proximity switches, while the status LEDs show operating and error conditions at the device.

The compact standard DIN rail case supports TS35 mounting and weighs approx. 200 g, making it practical for control cabinet installation. Screw terminals for wires up to 2.5 mm², case IP30 and IP20 terminals support straightforward wiring in protected environments.

Features

Input types

The input accepts switching contacts, Namur proximity switches according to DIN EN 60947-5-6 and passive electronic outputs from other devices.

Relay output versions

Relay variants provide SPDT contacts. The output is rated for < 253 V AC, < 100 VA, < 2 A or < 100 V DC, < 50 W, < 2 A.

Transistor output versions

Transistor variants provide a voltage-free, short-circuit-proof output with max. 35 V DC and max. 50 mA ratings.

Line fault detection

Broken line and short circuit detection are available for Namur operation. Switching thresholds are defined by the source current level.

Power supply options

 Versions are available for 230 V AC ±10 %, 47..63 Hz or 24 V DC ±15 %, with power consumption below 2 W.

Status indication

LEDs indicate power, switching status and error states on the front panel.
