Set point adjuster

SG9648

Set point adjuster for 0/4..20 mA and 0/2..10 V signals, generating isolated analog output values with front-button or external adjustment, programmable range and red 14.2 mm LED display.

Introduction

Operators often need to set process values in real engineering units, not abstract signal percentages. SG9648 generates adjustable 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V DC set point signals and lets any display value be assigned to the corresponding output signal.

Set points can be adjusted with the front buttons or, depending on version, by external control signals. Dynamic adjustment increases speed with button or signal duration, while external adjustment can also run linearly with a programmable adjustment time from 1 to 100 s. Programmable limits help keep the set point inside the intended range.

The isolated analog output changes automatically between current and voltage depending on burden, with 0/4..20 mA at ≤500 Ω and 0/2..10 V at >500 Ω. A DIN 96x48 mm panel case, front IP65 protection and red 14.2 mm LED display support clear operation at the control panel.

Features

Analog set point output

The device generates isolated 0/4..20 mA or 0/2..10 V DC output signals. Output type changes automatically according to burden.

Front set point adjustment

The set point can be changed with the front buttons. Dynamic operation increases adjustment speed with the duration of button actuation.

External set point adjustment

Versions with control inputs allow external increase and decrease commands. Adjustment can be dynamic or linear, with programmable time settings.

Display and scaling

The red 14.2 mm LED display shows values over ±9999(0) digit. Indicating range and decimal point are freely programmable.

Reset behavior

After power-on, the set point can return to the last stored value or a programmed reset value. External reset is available depending on version.

Alarm output options

Up to 2 relay SPDT or transistor alarm outputs can be fitted. Switching performance is programmable as minimum or maximum function.
