Clear local indication helps operators judge process values directly at the panel. S9648 measures standard 0/4 ... 20 mA and 0 ... 10 V DC signals, as well as potentiometers, and presents the value on a red 14.2 mm LED display with freely programmable range and decimal point.
The integrated transmitter supply allows direct connection of 2- and 3-wire transmitters, for example for pressure or temperature. Alarm handling is configurable with up to 4 relay SPDT or transistor outputs, including min. or max. switching, hysteresis and on-delay or off-delay times from 1 s up to 9 h.
For process integration, an isolated analog output can generate 0/4 ... 20 mA or 0/2 ... 10 V DC, with automatic current-to-voltage changing depending on burden. Front IP65 protection, clamp terminals and a DIN 96x48 mm panel case make the device well suited to control panels and machine interfaces.
The measuring input accepts 0/4 ... 20 mA, 0 ... 10 V DC and potentiometer signals. Input scaling is configured through the device parameters.
The main display uses a red 14.2 mm LED. Parameters are set with the front membrane keypad and shown on a 2-digit red parameter display.
The integrated transmitter supply provides approx. 24 V with max. 50 mA, or max. 25 mA with 4 relay outputs.
Output options include relay SPDT contacts or short-circuit-protected transistor outputs. Alarm functions include min. or max. switching, hysteresis and time delays.
The isolated analog output provides 0/4 ... 20 mA for burden ≤500 Ω or 0/2 ... 10 V for burden >500 Ω, with automatic output changing.
A second measuring input is available for difference, average value, smaller value or larger value functions. There is no isolation between input 1 and the second input.
