Resistance transmitter for resistance and potentiometer signals from 50 Ω to 100 kΩ, with selectable 0/4–20 mA and 0/2–10 V outputs, Teach-in programming and DIN rail mounting.

Introduction

Signal conversion in control cabinets should be quick to set up and stable in operation. RT500 converts resistance or potentiometer signals into standard industrial current and voltage outputs, making it suitable for automation tasks where analog resistance values need to be integrated into existing systems.
 
Commissioning is kept practical with Teach-in programming for the initial and final values. The measuring range is selected automatically, while increasing or decreasing output characteristics can be programmed to match the application. The 3-wire input circuit compensates line resistance up to 10 Ω, supporting reliable signal handling across a programmable range from 50 Ω to 100 kΩ.
 
Designed for DIN rail installation, the 22.5 mm polycarbonate case fits compact control panels. Selectable 0/4–20 mA and 0/2–10 V outputs, 250 Hz real-time processing and a rise time below 8 ms provide fast integration into industrial measurement and control systems.

Features

Resistance signal conversion

The transmitter converts resistance or potentiometer input signals into linear industrial analog outputs between the programmed minimum and maximum resistance.

Teach-in programming

Initial and final values are stored using front-panel switches. The status LED indicates operating mode, stored values, range errors and invalid programming.

Selectable output characteristic

The output characteristic can be set as increasing or decreasing to match the required behavior of the connected control or monitoring system.

Analog outputs

Current output is selectable as 0/4–20 mA. Voltage output is selectable as 0/2–10 V and operates simultaneously with the current output.

Input circuit

The input supports 2-wire and 3-wire connection. In 3-wire circuits, symmetric line resistance is compensated automatically.

Supply options

The device is available for 85 ... 265 V AC or 10 ... 30 V AC/DC supply voltage, depending on the selected ordering variant.

Status indication

A 2-color front LED shows operation, programming status, range exceedance and line break conditions.
