Flow transmitter for liquid flow without inlet or outlet runs

RRI-010/025

Flow transmitter for liquid flow measurement from 0.1...100.0 l/min H2O, with DN 10 or DN 25 sizes, PNP, NPN o.C. or optional NAMUR output and IP 67 protection.

Introduction

Tight pipework should not make flow monitoring harder. This rotor-based flow transmitter measures liquid flow without required inlet or outlet runs, making it well suited for compact installations, filling processes and machine-mounted pipe sections.

The rotating impeller generates a flow-proportional speed that is detected by an inductive proximity switch. Because the design uses no magnets and combines a ceramic Zr02-TZP axis with Iglidur X bearings, it supports reliable operation and long service life in the flow path. Variants cover DN 10 and DN 25 sizes with measuring ranges from 0.1...100.0 l/min H2O.

Commissioning stays practical on site. Rotatable adapters support flexible pipe alignment, while PNP or NPN o.C. outputs, optional NAMUR, 2 m cable or M12x1 connection options make integration into industrial electronics straightforward. Ingress protection (IP67) supports use in demanding environments.

Features

Rotor measuring principle

The flowing medium drives an impeller. Rotor speed is proportional to the flow rate and is detected by an inductive proximity switch.

Mechanical connections

Versions are available with female thread, male thread or hose nozzle connections. Other threads, compression and plug-in connections are available on request.

Adapter handling

Rotatable adapter pieces mount the unit into the pipe. The adapters can be separated from the housing after removing the stainless steel clips.

Operating position

The sensor can be installed in any position. The preferred mounting position supports venting, with horizontal rotor axis and horizontal or upward flow.

Electrical connection

The sensor is available with a 2 m cable or for a 4-pin M12x1 round connector. It is short-circuit-proof and reverse-polarity protected.

Connection options

Mechanical connection pieces with check valve, filter, flow constantor or customer-specific design are available on request.
