Flow transmitter for DN32 and larger pipes, 0.3 to 6 m/s

RRH-032

Flow transmitter for DN 32 and larger pipes measures 0.3 to 6 m/s and supports push-pull, 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, frequency or limit switch outputs. Stainless steel design with ingress protection (IP65).

Introduction

Adding flow measurement to existing pipework is straightforward with an insertion probe and optional tapping saddle or welding socket. The stainless steel flow transmitter uses a vane-wheel measuring principle for pipes from DN 32 and larger, covering flow velocities from 0.3 to 6 m/s with repeatability of ±1%.

Choose the output that fits your control system: push-pull, 4–20 mA, 0–10 V, programmable frequency up to 2 kHz or limit switch. The outputs are short-circuit and reverse-polarity protected. Depending on the mounting method, the transmitter supports media temperatures from 0 to +60 °C with a tapping saddle or from 0 to +95 °C with a welding socket. Ingress protection (IP65) and a recommended straight inlet and outlet run of approximately 10xD support dependable installation in industrial piping systems.

Features

Impeller-wheel measurement

Uses an impeller-wheel measuring principle for flow measurement in pipework.

Media temperature

Supports 0 to +60 °C with a tapping saddle and 0 to +95 °C with a welding socket.

Electrical connection

Available with a 2 m cable or an M12x1, 4-pin circular connector.

Measuring range options

Analog-output and adjustable-frequency versions are available with fixed ranges of 1, 2, 4 and 6 m/s.

Installation position

The recommended installation uses an inlet and outlet straight run of approximately 10xD. In horizontal pipes, the sensor should point 45° downward.

Wetted materials

Wetted components include PVDF, epoxy resin, Iglidur X, ceramic ZrO2-TZP and FKM. EPDM and NBR seal options are available.
