Hygienic pipe temperature measurement is easier when the sensor does not need to enter the medium. This clamp-on resistance thermometer measures media temperature from the outside of pipelines, with plastic POM clamps available for DN8 to DN100 and stainless steel hose straps for other pipe dimensions.
The silver-based contact surface adapts to the pipe radius, while an adjustable spring mechanism supports close contact without thermal compound. That helps achieve quick response and reliable measurement with only a slight unavoidable temperature deviation. The Pt100 4-wire element is specified for temperatures up to 140°C, class A accuracy according to IEC 60751 and ingress protection (IP68).
Validation and handling are designed for sterile technologies in food, pharmaceutical, chemical and biotechnology applications. The clamp remains on the pipe while the sensor element is removed by loosening one screw, allowing the PTV on the cable to be dipped directly into the test medium.
The sensor mounts on the outside of pipelines with a special clamp and measures the medium temperature through the pipe wall.
The product uses a platinum resistance element Pt100 in 4-wire configuration, with class A tolerance according to IEC 60751.
Plastic POM pipeline clamps are available for DN8 to DN100. Stainless steel hose straps are available for other pipe dimensions.

The LTN-500 transmitter can be plugged into the sensor cable and provides a 4...20 mA output, with standard or customized measuring range configuration.
The measuring surface is Ag, the sensor housing is polyamide and the clamp is POM, with other clamp materials available by request.
