Viscous oil flows need measurement that stays stable when the medium is thick, lubricating and difficult to monitor with standard flow principles. This transmitter family measures oil and other non-aggressive, lubricating fluids from 0.02...150 l/min and can be used with viscosities up to 40,000 mm²/s.
The volumetric gear principle gives the measurement a direct mechanical basis. Two intermeshing gears rotate with the flowing medium, while a sensor outside the flow chamber detects the gear teeth and generates a flow-proportional frequency signal. This design keeps magnets out of the flow chamber and supports low viscosity dependence, with \pm3 % of measured value accuracy at 20 mm²/s in the specified measuring range.
Integration is supported by one configurable analog output, two switching outputs and IO-Link V1.1. DN8...DN25 sizes, G 1/4...G 1 female threads, aluminum or stainless steel housings and IP65/IP67 protection make the family suitable for industrial oil monitoring tasks.
The transmitter uses two intermeshing gears driven by the flowing medium. A sensor outside the flow chamber detects the gear teeth and generates a flow-proportional frequency signal.
The product family covers DN8, DN10, DN20 and DN25 with measuring ranges from 0.02...2 l/min up to 3.00...150 l/min.
The devices are intended for oil and other non-aggressive, lubricating fluids. The source specifies use up to 40,000 mm²/s.
The analog output can be configured for current or voltage, including 4...20 mA, 0...20 mA, 0...10 V, 2...10 V, 0...5 V, 1...5 V and 0.5...4.5 V.
Two push-pull transistor outputs can be set as limit switches, frequency outputs, pulse outputs or outputs for the preset counter.
The device supports IO-Link V1.1 with COM2 transmission, SIO mode, block parameterization and data storage.
The graphical 1.2 inch LCD shows measured values and alarms. The integrated totalizer adds or subtracts depending on flow direction; direction display is not available for DN8.
The family includes aluminum and stainless steel housing versions. Wetted materials include stainless steel gears, Iglidur X bearings, FKM seals and glass for the VHZO-020GA sight window.
