Simple fluid level monitoring can still be precise when the switching principle is robust. This mechanical level monitor uses contact-free triggering of a reed contact, supporting highly reproducible switching in horizontal installations.
The device is designed for water and oils, with brass or stainless steel construction available. Float options include Spansil, stainless steel and optional PVDF versions, with pressure resistance up to PN 25 bar depending on the selected float. Medium temperature is specified from -20..+110 °C, with an optional version up to 150 °C.
Electrical integration is straightforward: the level switch provides normally open or normally closed contact behavior, a 1.5 m cable connection and ingress protection (IP) rating IP65. Switching values are rated up to 230 V AC, 1 A and 50 VA. Capacitive, inductive and lamp loads must be operated with a protective circuit.
The device acts as a mechanical level monitor for fluid media and triggers a reed contact without direct contact.
Male thread options include G ¾ A and G 1 A. The switch is intended for horizontal installation.
Brass and stainless steel designs are listed, with medium-contact materials defined for each construction.
The standard version uses a Spansil float. Stainless steel and PVDF float options are also available.
The reed contact is rated for max. 230 V AC, max. 1 A switching current and max. 50 VA switching capacity.
The source lists water and oils as media. The device is not suitable for use in media with ferritic particles.
An option is available for switching unit ATEX A-U1-2 with brass or stainless steel connection material and stainless steel float.
