Reliable local flow monitoring starts with a clear indication that stays protected from the medium. This mechanical flow indicator uses a spring-supported piston for liquid media and transfers the measured value by magnetic coupling to an indicator ring, keeping the display separated from the hydraulic section.
The family supports water applications with NJ versions and oil applications with NJV versions stabilized for 30...200 mm²/s viscosity. Measuring ranges cover 2...80 l/min, with nominal sizes DN 8...25 and female threads from G 1/4 to G 1. The brass construction and PN 100 pressure resistance make the devices well suited for demanding industrial liquid flow lines.
Optional switching contacts turn the local indicator into a flow monitor for process signals. Plastic and metal switch head versions are available, with IP65 protection and electrical connection by DIN 43650-A plug, Hirschmann G4 plug or 2.5 m cable, depending on contact type.
A spring-supported piston moves with the flow of liquid media. The measured value is transmitted by magnetic coupling to an indicator ring.
NJ versions are specified for water. NJV versions are viscosity-stabilized for oils from 30...200 mm²/s, with factory measurement using ISO VG100 at 40°C.
The family covers DN 8...25 with female thread connections from G 1/4 to G 1. Other connection types are available on request according to the source.
The device can be supplied without a switch contact or with K1, K2, K3, M1 or M2 contact options, depending on the required electrical configuration.
Standard installation uses vertical flow from below. Other mounting positions are possible, but the position affects the switching point, switching range and indication range.
Filters are recommended for contaminated media.
