Level switch for ATEX hazardous-area tank control (PVC, PP, PVDF)

MULTIPOINT V-F ATEX I

Level switch for hazardous-area tank control in PVC, PP or PVDF, certified CESI 03 ATEX 265 Ext.2, with up to 6 switch points, 5 m length, 6 bar working pressure and minimum IP65 protection.

Introduction

Hazardous-area tanks need level control that matches both the medium and the protection concept. This intrinsically safe level switch is used to control liquids or fuel in underground and outdoor tanks where flammable products are treated. It is certified CESI 03 ATEX 265 Ext.2 II 1G Exia IIC T4/T5/T6 Ga and II 1/2G Exia IIC T4/T5/T6 Ga/Gb.

PVC, PP and PVDF versions give the product family a practical material choice for plastic-based tank applications. The range supports up to 6 switch points and rod lengths up to 5 m, with maximum working pressure of 6 bar depending on the selected float. Standard working temperature reaches up to 100°C, with executions up to 130°C available on request.

Electrical integration can be adapted with IP65 housings, an IP66/67 housing, DIN43650 plug, IP65 cable outputs and cable glands up to IP68. Exia level controls must be connected to active or passive barriers according to EN 50020.
