Level switch for ATEX hazardous-area tank control (Buna)

MULTIPOINT O - ATEX E

Level switch for hazardous-area tank control, certified CESI 03 ATEX 272 Ext.2, with up to 6 switch points, 6 m length, 10 bar working pressure and IP67 protection.

Introduction

Tank level control in hazardous areas needs clear switching and certified protection. This level switch is designed for liquids or fuel in underground and outdoor tanks where flammable products are treated. It is certified CESI 03 ATEX 272 Ext.2 II 1/2G Exdb IIB IIC T6/T5 Ga/Gb and provides a minimum ingress protection (IP) rating of IP67.

Inside the stainless steel rod, one or more floats actuate magnetic reed contacts. The float is the only moving element, supporting robust operation with limited maintenance. The product family offers up to 6 switch points, rod lengths up to 6 m and working pressure up to 10 bar, depending on the selected float.

Integration can be adapted to the tank connection and wiring concept. Threaded and flanged process connections are available, with aluminum epoxy-painted or AISI 316 stainless steel IP66/67 housings. Built-in temperature sensors can also be specified on request, including PT100, PT1000, PTC, NTC and TRP thermoprotector versions.
