Flow transmitter for low-viscosity liquids with IO-Link

LABOPLUS-RRI-010/025

Flow transmitter for low-viscosity liquids, measuring 0.1…100 l/min in water. IO-Link, selectable analog outputs and an IP65/IP67 M12 connection support clear identification and integration.

Introduction

In compact liquid systems, flow measurement has to fit the installation instead of forcing the installation to change. This flow transmitter measures water and other low-viscosity liquids from 0.1…100 l/min, with no inlet or outlet runs required and plug-in, rotatable connections for faster mounting on site.

Reliable operation comes from a proven paddlewheel principle: the PVDF rotor carries metal clamps detected by an inductive sensor outside the flow chamber. A break-resistant ceramic axle and Iglidur X special plastic bearings support long service life, while the PPS housing can be specified in PVDF where higher chemical resistance is required.

Integration stays flexible. IO-Link V1.1.3 enables configuration and measured value readout, while selectable analog outputs and a configurable push-pull transistor output support use as a limit switch, frequency output, pulse output or preset counter signal.

Features

Paddlewheel measurement principle

The medium drives a PVDF rotor with metal clamps. An inductive sensor mounted outside the flow chamber detects the rotor speed, which is linear to the flow rate.

Configurable output electronics

The integrated electronics provide selectable current or voltage outputs and a transistor output that can be configured directly on the device for several signal functions.

IO-Link interface

The sensor supports IO-Link Revision V1.1.3 with COM2 bitrate, SIO mode, block parameterization and data storage.

Mechanical variants

The family includes DN 10 and DN 25 versions with internal thread, external thread or hose nozzle connections. Other connection types are available on request.

Material options

Wetted materials include PPS or optional PVDF housing, PVDF paddlewheel, 1.4310 or optional titanium clamps, ceramic ZrO2-TZP axle and FKM sealing as standard.

Electrical connection

The device uses a 4-pin M12x1 circular connector and is protected to ingress protection (IP65/IP67).
