Piston inline flow transmitter for water applications

LABOPLUS-HR2

Flow transmitter for water applications, covering 5 ... 300 l/min with spring-supported variable-area measurement, IO-Link, configurable analog output, switching output and IP65 / IP67 protection.

Introduction

Water flow measurement in industrial pipework needs reliable values without making installation more complex than necessary. This transmitter family measures water across ranges from 5 ... 60 to 25 ... 300 l/min and works without required inlet or outlet runs, making it suitable for compact system layouts.

The spring-supported variable-area principle gives a clear measuring method for robust flow monitoring. Brass and stainless steel versions are available, with female thread connections from G 1¼ to G 2 and pressure resistance to PS 200. For higher media temperatures, the standard -20 ... +85 °C range can be extended to +120 °C with distance pieces.

Integration into control systems is straightforward. IO-Link supports digital configuration and measured value readout, while the analog output can be set to current or voltage ranges. The switching output can also operate as a limit switch, frequency output, pulse output or preset counter signal.

Features

Spring-supported variable-area principle

A magnet-equipped float is deflected against a spring by the flowing water. Magnetic field sensors detect the float position outside the flow chamber.

Nominal size variants

The family includes DN 32, DN 40 and DN 50 versions for water flow applications with larger pipe connections.

Mechanical connection

Versions use female thread connections from G 1¼ to G 2. Other connection types are available on request according to the source information.

Housing materials

The product family is available in brass and stainless steel versions, with wetted materials specified for each construction.

IO-Link interface

The integrated electronics support IO-Link V1.1.4, COM2 communication, block parameterization and data storage.

Analog output

The analog output can be configured for current or voltage operation, including 4 ... 20 mA, 0 ... 20 mA, 0 ... 10 V and further voltage ranges.

Switching output functions

The push-pull transistor output can be configured as a limit switch, frequency output, pulse output or preset counter signal.

Electrical connection

The device connects via a 4-pin M12x1 circular connector and operates with an 18 ... 30 V DC supply.
