Thermal flow and temperature transmitter for liquids

LABOPLUS-F

Flow and temperature transmitter for liquids, measuring flow from 2...300 cm/s and temperature from -20...+120 °C, with thermal measurement, IO-Link, analog output, configurable switch output and IP65 / IP67 housing.

Introduction

Liquid flow monitoring becomes easier when flow and temperature come from one compact sensor. LABOPLUS-F measures flow velocity from 2...300 cm/s and medium temperature from -20...+120 °C, making it suitable for water and other configurable liquid media.

The thermal measuring method uses a heated temperature sensor at the tip. The energy needed to maintain its temperature changes with the medium velocity, so there are no moving parts in the measurement path and no mechanical wear from rotating elements. Wetted parts are made from stainless steel 1.4571, with FKM used as an O-ring material for connection type 013.

Integration is flexible for automation environments. The transmitter provides configurable analog current or voltage outputs, a transistor switching output and IO-Link V1.1.4 for configuration and measured value readout. Both outputs can be assigned to flow or temperature measurement via IO-Link, while the IP65 / IP67 all-metal housing supports use in industrial installations.

Features

Thermal measuring principle

A heated temperature sensor at the tip is held at a defined temperature; the required energy is used as a measure of flow velocity.

Medium configuration

The sensor is designed for liquids, with the medium configurable directly on the device.

Output assignment

The analog output and switching output can be freely assigned to flow or temperature measurement via IO-Link.

Configurable switch output

The transistor output can be configured as a limit switch, frequency output, pulse output or signal output for a preset counter.

Sensor versions

Available sensor forms include Ø 12 mm insertion sensors, G 1/4 A and G 1/2 A threaded sensors, system fastening and 24° sealing cone versions.

Electrical connection

The device uses a 4-pin M12x1 circular connector and operates with an 18 \ldots 30 VDC supply.
