Humidity transmitter for HVAC temperature and dew point

HVAC40

Humidity transmitter for HVAC temperature and dew point monitoring, measuring 0…100 %RH, -20…+80 °C and DP, with analog, 2-wire 4…20 mA, RS485 Modbus-RTU or relay output.

Introduction

Indoor climate control depends on reliable humidity and temperature data at the right installation point. HVAC40 transmitters and hygrostats measure relative humidity, temperature and dew point with an interchangeable digital RH/T sensor, giving HVAC and building automation systems one compact source for key comfort and control values.

The family adapts to wall, duct and remote installations. Probe options include a fixed vertical probe for wall mounting, a fixed horizontal duct probe and a fixed probe with 2 m cable. A 4-digit LCD option supports local reading, while LED indicators show power and alarm or out-of-range conditions, depending on the model.

Integration is broad and practical. Choose active 0…20 or 4…20 mA, 0…10 Vdc, 2-wire 4…20 mA, RS485 Modbus-RTU or ON/OFF relay switching with SPDT contact. Analog models offer four preconfigured temperature ranges by dip switch or custom ranges via serial commands, and humidity output can be selected as RH or dew point.

Quick setup
Configure by PC, dip switches or internal buttons, depending on model.

Features

Measured parameters

The series measures temperature, relative humidity and dew point. RH range is 0…100 %RH, with the sensor recommended for 5…80 %RH operation.

Probe versions

HVAC40...TV uses a fixed vertical probe for wall mounting, HVAC40...TO uses a fixed horizontal duct probe and HVAC40...TC.2 uses a fixed probe with 2 m cable.

Display and indicators

Versions with option L include a 4-digit LCD. In LCD versions, LEDs indicate power supply and alarm or out-of-range conditions.

Analog temperature scaling

Analog models provide selectable temperature ranges of -20…+80 °C, -20…+50 °C, 0…+50 °C or 0…+80 °C, with custom scaling via serial commands.

Relay alarm modes

HVAC40R17 models support above threshold, below threshold and outside thresholds alarm modes, with configurable hysteresis and activation delays.

Modbus registers

HVAC40S17 models provide temperature, relative humidity, dew point and status register values through RS485 Modbus-RTU.
