Radiation shield for outdoor temperature/humidity probes

HD9007S

Radiation shield for outdoor temperature/humidity probes, with 14 mm probe diameter suitability, UV-resistant ASA discs and mast mounting for 30 to 50 mm poles.

Introduction

Outdoor temperature and humidity readings need protection from sun, rain and wind without trapping heat around the sensor. This passive radiation shield uses a multiplate design to block direct solar radiation and precipitation while supporting natural air circulation around the probe.

It is well suited for meteorological and climatological stations, agricultural weather monitoring, industrial outdoor sensor deployments, environmental research and air quality monitoring. The 14 mm suitable probe diameter gives a defined fit for compact probes used in environmental monitoring setups.

Built for long-term field use, the shield combines UV-resistant, antistatic ASA discs with an anodized aluminium support bracket and stainless steel U-bolt mounting. Installation remains flexible on poles or masts from 30 to 50 mm in diameter, making it a practical choice for permanent outdoor measurement points.

Accurate readings
Multiplate shielding reduces radiation impact on temperature and humidity probes.
Outdoor durability
UV-resistant ASA discs support long-term use in sun, rain and wind.
Defined probe fit
Suitable for probes with a 14 mm diameter.
Flexible mounting
Stainless steel U-bolt fits poles or masts from 30 to 50 mm.

Features

Passive shield design

The multiplate structure surrounds the probe and protects it from direct solar radiation, rain and wind.

Natural ventilation

Specially shaped plates allow air circulation around the sensor for temperature and relative humidity measurement.

Probe compatibility

The shield is specified for probes with a suitable diameter of 14 mm.

Material construction

Discs are made from ASA, with an anodized aluminium support bracket and stainless steel U-bolt mounting.

Mast installation

The mounting system is designed for poles or masts with diameters from 30 to 50 mm.
