Saturated salt solutions for RH sensor calibration

HD75 / HD33 / HD11

Saturated salt solutions for RH sensor calibration at 11% RH, 33% RH and 75% RH. Reference values cover 0 to 100°C, with use for probes with M24X1,5 thread and M12X1 probes via adapter.

Introduction

Reliable RH checks depend on a stable reference environment. These saturated salt solutions support checking, setting up and calibrating instruments with relative humidity sensors, using defined reference points at 75% RH, 33% RH and, where required, 11% RH.

The procedure is designed for controlled work with probes and instruments at stable temperature. After the probe is inserted into the closed measurement chamber, the sensor and solution are allowed to reach equilibrium before calibration starts. This helps reduce avoidable RH errors caused by temperature differences between the sensor and saturated solution.

The solutions support probes with M24X1,5 thread directly, while M12X1 probes can be used with an adapter. Reference values are provided from 0 to 100°C for lithium chloride, magnesium chloride and sodium chloride solutions, giving users the data needed to work at temperatures other than 20°C.

Defined RH points
Use 75% RH, 33% RH and 11% RH references for checking or calibrating RH sensors.
Temperature reference
RH equilibrium values are listed from 0 to 100°C for work beyond 20°C.
Probe compatibility
M24X1,5 probes fit directly; M12X1 probes can be used with an adapter.
Stable calibration
Closed chambers and 30 minute waiting time support equilibrium before calibration.
