Mechanical flow switch for viscous media

HD2K

Mechanical flow switch for liquid media, covering oil switch ranges from 0.5...60 l/min for 30...330 mm²/s. DN 8..25 connections, reed contact output and ingress protection (IP65) support compact installation.

Introduction

Reliable flow monitoring starts with a switch that matches the medium, pressure and installation space. This mechanical flow switch monitors liquid media with a spring-supported piston and magnetic actuation of a reed switch, giving plant operators a compact solution for defined switching points in process lines.

The family covers DN 8...25 with female threads from G 1/4...G 1 and oil switch ranges from 0.5...60 l/min for viscosities of 30...330 mm²/s. Viscosity-stabilized performance supports repeatable switching behavior across the specified oil range, while brass or stainless steel wetted materials allow the device to be matched to the medium.

For demanding industrial environments, the standard version is pressure-resistant to PN 200, with PN 500 available as an option for the brass version. Ingress protection (IP65), DIN 43650-A / ISO 4400 connection and optional display, M12x1 connector, temperature monitoring or additional switch head make the HD2K flexible to configure for the task.

Features

Piston-based switching

A spring-supported piston moves with the flow and magnetically actuates the reed switch when the switching value is reached.

Mechanical display options

Side-mounted O/O1 and front-mounted Z/Z1 display versions are available as option.

Switch point adjustment

If adjustment is required, the switch head is set by pinion adjustment and fixed with a fastening screw when the switching value is reached.

Connection variants

The standard electrical connection uses a DIN 43650-A / ISO 4400 plug; an M12x1, 4-pin round connector is available as an option.

Additional switching functions

Options include a changeover contact, normally open contact, additional switch head, signal lamp, metal switch head and temperature monitoring.

Installation guidance

Straight calming sections of 5 x DN at inlet and outlet are recommended, plus filters for contaminated media.
