Reliable flow monitoring starts with a clear switching point in the line. This mechanical flow switch monitors liquid media with a spring-supported piston and magnetically actuated reed switch, giving operators a direct signal when the selected flow value is reached.
The family covers switching ranges from 0.1...80 l/min H2O in DN 8...25, with female threads from G 1/4...G 1. Brass and stainless steel versions support use with water and oil, while the media-wetted material options include CW614N, 1.4571, 1.4404, NBR and FKM for matching the device to the medium.
For demanding industrial installations, the housing is rated to PN 200, with PN 500 available for brass versions, and the electrical connector provides ingress protection (IP65). The switch head can be adjusted lengthwise to set the switching value, with options including mechanical indication, M12x1 connection, signal lamps and an additional switch head.
A spring-supported piston moves with the medium flow and magnetically actuates a reed switch when the selected switching value is reached.
The family uses female threads in G 1/4, G 3/8, G 1/2, G 3/4 and G 1 for nominal sizes from DN 8 to DN 25.
Versions are available without mechanical indication, with side indication O/O1, or with frontal indication Z1.
The standard electrical design uses a changeover reed switch. Optional changeover and normally open contacts are listed with higher electrical ratings.
Water and oil are listed as standard media. Aggressive media and oil switching values are available on request. Viscosity compensation is not included. For viscosity compensation see HD2 series.
Straight calming sections of 5 x DN at inlet and outlet and filters for contaminated media are recommended.
A 0...120 °C temperature indication option is available.
