Waterproof Handheld Meter for Gaseous Oxygen

GMH 5690

Oxygen meter for gas measurement in air and gas mixtures, measuring 0.0 ... 100.0 % O2 Vol. or 0 ... 1100 hPa O2, with integrated barometer, illuminated double display and IP65 / IP67 housing.

Introduction

Reliable oxygen control in gas mixtures starts with stable readings and clear handling on site. This waterproof handheld meter measures oxygen concentration in % Vol. O2 or oxygen partial pressure in hPa or mmHg, with integrated temperature and pressure measurement for dependable compensation during gas measurement tasks.

The device is suited to protective gas checks in welding and soldering, food production and MAP packaging, food storage, semiconductor component storage and immersion gas testing for nitrox, trimix or similar gas compositions. Selectable O2 resolution down to 0.01 % supports detailed checks, while one-point, two-point or three-point calibration helps maintain measurement quality.

Daily field use is made easier by the illuminated 4 ½ digit double display, Auto-Hold function, alarm function and long battery life of approx. 1000 h without lighting. The impact-resistant ABS housing with protective silicone case provides ingress protection (IP) IP65 / IP67 for demanding portable measurement work.

Features

Oxygen gas measurement

The device measures oxygen in air and gas mixtures as concentration in % Vol. O2 or as partial pressure in hPa or mmHg with an external GOO or GGO sensor.

Calibration functions

One-point calibration uses ambient air at 20.95 % Vol. O2. Two-point and three-point calibration can use ambient air, 0 % oxygen or 100 % oxygen reference gases.

Display and hold functions

The illuminated 4 ½ digit display shows the oxygen value with sensor temperature or absolute pressure. Auto-Hold freezes stable measured values.

Sensor connection

A 7-pin bayonet socket connects the external oxygen sensor and temperature probe. Compatible sensor types include GGO5 / GOO5 with GOEL 370 or 381 elements.

Universal output

The OUT jack provides a 38400 baud interface and 5 V external supply for connection with suitable interface accessories.

Power supply

The handheld meter operates with 2 x AAA batteries and has a typical battery life of approx. 1000 h without lighting.
