Local indication helps operators read transmitter values directly at the measuring point. GIA0420 displays 4..20 mA signals from Ex-approved transmitters and is suitable for potentially explosive atmospheres of group II, zone 1 and 2, temperature class T4 to T1.
The display takes its power from the measuring current, so no auxiliary supply is needed. Its 4-digit LCD can be scaled to the transmitter by entering the lower and upper display limits and decimal point position, with a display range from -1999 to +9999 digits.
For added control functions, the device is optionally available with an electrically isolated open collector switching output that can be configured as a 2-point controller or min./max. alarm. IP65 protection, min./max. value memory and integrated self-diagnosis support practical use directly in the field.
The device displays standard 4..20 mA transmitter signals. GIA0420VO-EX may only be operated with Ex-approved transmitters and intrinsically safe circuits.
Lower and upper display limits and decimal point position are entered by buttons. Programmable parameters are saved in EEPROM.
Parameters and limit values are entered via three keys. O
The device stores the highest and lowest measured values. Values can be called and reset directly via the operating buttons
