Temperature checks in hot liquids, gases or soft materials need a probe that is easy to handle and quick to respond. This compact pen-type handle probe combines a Pt1000 2-wire sensor with a silicone handle rated up to 250 °C, giving users a practical solution for temperature measurement across a probe-tip range of -70 ... +250 °C.
The family covers immersion, insertion and Ø 1.5 mm needle-type insertion versions, so one probe concept can be matched to different measuring tasks. Response is fast in moving water: T90 is < 2 s for Ø 3 mm probes and < 1 s for the Ø 1.5 mm version, supporting efficient spot checks where waiting time matters.
AISI 316 stainless steel gives the sensor sheath dependable contact with the medium and is designed for continuous food contact from the tip to 1 cm before the handle. Connection options such as BNC, banana plugs and loose ends support integration with 2-wire instruments, while ingress protection IP67 applies with the BNC connector plugged in.
The family includes immersion probes Ø 3 mm, insertion probes Ø 3 mm and needle-type insertion probes Ø 1.5 mm for gases, liquids and soft materials.
The platinum sensor element is designed for 2-wire instruments, including thermometers and pH meters with T-input.
Cable termination options include BNC connector, 2 banana plugs, jack plug Ø 3.5 mm gold-plated and loose ends with wire end ferrules.
The standard probe-tip measuring range is -70 ... +250 °C. The -MB4 option extends the lower limit to -200 °C while keeping the upper limit at +250 °C.
The probe is available in accuracy classes B, A and AA according to EN 60751, with class-specific validity ranges.
The 1 meter silicone cable is rated for permanent use up to +230 °C and short-term exposure up to +250 °C for about 2 hours per application.
