Stable process signals need clean separation between the field device and the control system. This 1-channel active barrier transmits and galvanically isolates 0/4...20 mA/HART signals, helping reduce ground loop effects while passing the current signal to a PLC, controller or other instrumentation.
Installation is flexible because both the input and output can be operated actively or passively. A 2- or 4-wire transmitter can be connected directly, and 2-wire transmitters can be supplied with power. HART communication is transmitted bidirectionally, with front connection sockets for HART communicators during sensor parameterization.
The compact DIN rail housing is designed for 35 mm rails according to IEC 60715 and supports side-by-side mounting. A 24...230 V AC/DC wide-range supply simplifies cabinet planning, while the optional associated apparatus version supports connection of intrinsically safe devices from Ex Zone 0/20 [ia] with operation in Ex Zone 2 [ec].

The current input accepts active or passive operation. The output can also be operated actively or passively, with automatic mode detection at the output side.
Connected 2-wire transmitters can be supplied with power, enabling transmission of analog 0/4...20 mA/HART measured values to the non-hazardous area.
HART signals are transmitted bidirectionally. Integrated front sockets provide a connection point for HART communicators.
The device is designed for 35 mm DIN rail mounting according to IEC 60715 and can be installed horizontally or vertically.
Plug-in screw terminals are used for signal and supply wiring. Optional push-in terminals are listed in the operating instructions.
The housing measures 17.5 x 116 x 107.5 mm with terminals and is made from RoHS-compliant polycarbonate.
