Field and laboratory conductivity checks need clear readings, robust handling and the right measuring cell for the medium. ECO 522 covers wide-range conductivity measurement from deionized water to sea water up to 100.0 mS/cm, while ECO 523 focuses on high-resolution purest water applications down to 0.001 µS/cm.
The devices support daily work in aquarium, aquaculture, plant cultivation, pharmaceutical, laboratory, quality assurance and service applications, including osmosis systems. Automatic measuring range shifting and automatic temperature compensation keep measurements practical, while the integrated temperature sensor covers -5.0 ... +105.0 °C.
Built for mobile use, the handheld housing combines ingress protection (IP) 65/67 with a break-proof ABS design. A 3-line illuminated display with overhead view, Hold and Min/Max functions makes values easy to read on site. With 2 x AA batteries and more than 1000 h operating time, the meters are ready for long measurement rounds.
ECO 522 uses a 2-pole graphite measuring cell; ECO 523 uses a 2-pole stainless steel/PEEK measuring cell.
ECO 522 measures conductivity, salinity and TDS; ECO 523 measures conductivity, specific resistance and NaCl.
The meters offer deactivated or nLF compensation according to EN 27888; ECO 523 also includes LIN and NaCl modes.
Four long-lasting buttons operate the illuminated 3-line display, Hold function, Min/Max values and display rotation.
Temperature zero point and gradient correction, plus conductivity gradient correction, are available via the adjustment menu.
The devices operate with 2 x AA batteries and include a battery status indicator with depleted battery message.
