Mechanical flow indicator for liquids and gases

BL

Mechanical flow indicator for liquids and gases, with DN 8..40 sizes, G 1/4..G 1 1/2 female thread, 0.3..23 l/min display range, PN 16 rating and stainless steel construction.

Introduction

Visual flow monitoring should stay simple, especially where high media temperatures or demanding materials are involved. This mechanical flow indicator shows flow directly in the line by lifting a Teflon ball from the valve seat as the medium enters the housing.

The design is built for liquid, gaseous or aggressive media, with water specified as the standard medium and oils, gases and aggressive media available on request. A stainless steel construction and wetted materials including 1.4436, 1.4410, PTFE, borosilicate glass and Klingersil C4400 support reliable use in industrial pipework.

The family covers nominal sizes from DN 8..40 with G 1/4..G 11/2 female threads. Display ranges extend from first movement at 0.3 l/min up to fully visible indication at 23 l/min, depending on size, with recommended Qmax. values up to 60 l/min. PN 16 pressure rating and -20..+200 °C media temperature range make it a practical choice for robust flow indication.

Features

Mechanical ball indication

The medium enters the valve housing and lifts the Teflon ball from the valve seat. The ball position provides the visual flow indication.

Nominal sizes and threads

The product family includes DN 8, DN 10, DN 15, DN 20, DN 25 and DN 40 versions with female thread connections from G 1/4 to G 1 1/2.

Flow indication ranges

Depending on the connection size, first movement starts at 0.3 l/min and the ball becomes fully visible up to 23 l/min for water.

Material construction

Wetted materials are 1.4436, 1.4410, PTFE, borosilicate glass and Klingersil C4400. Non-wetted materials are 1.4436 and borosilicate glass.

Installation position

The indicator is designed for horizontal flow with the glass dome facing upward.
