Mechanical flow switch for water with stainless steel thread

VD-GK

Mechanical flow switch for water lines with G 1/2 to G 2 internal thread, DN 15 to DN 50 sizes, 1-200 l/min H2O switching ranges, adjustable Reed contact, stainless steel wetted materials and PN 100 pressure resistance.

Introduction

Compact pipework leaves little room for unnecessary length, especially when flow still needs to be monitored clearly. This mechanical flow switch combines a short installation length with precise, stepless switching value adjustment and repeatable operation in liquid lines.

Flow lifts a magnet-equipped piston from the valve seat against spring force, triggering a hermetically separated Reed switch. Stainless steel wetted materials, H2O switching ranges from 1-200 l/min and recommended Qmax. values up to 290 l/min make the device a practical choice for water applications with G 1/2 to G 2 internal thread connections. PN 100 bar pressure resistance supports use in robust pipe systems.

Standard installation is based on horizontal flow, with the switching head not recommended in a downward position. Straight calming sections of 5 x DN in the inlet and outlet support stable switching behavior. Optional ingress protection (IP65), temperature indication, temperature monitoring and oil switching ranges allow the configuration to be adapted to the application.

Features

Piston switching principle

Flow lifts a magnet-equipped piston against spring force and actuates a hermetically separated Reed switch.

Internal thread connection

The product family uses G internal threads from G 1/2 to G 2 for nominal widths from DN 15 to DN 50.

Switching ranges

H2O switching ranges are selected by version and apply to horizontal flow with decreasing flow rate.

Electrical connection

The standard connection uses a DIN 43650-A / ISO 4400 plug and a changeover Reed switch.

Installation position

Horizontal flow is the standard arrangement. Other installation positions are possible, but they affect the switching point or switching range.

Setpoint adjustment

The switching point is adjusted by loosening the switch head fixing screw and rotating the switch head.

Operating guidance

Straight calming sections of 5 x DN are required in the inlet and outlet. Filters are recommended for contaminated media.

Configuration options

Options include special connectors, signal lamps, ingress protection (IP65), temperature indication, temperature monitoring and a metal cover.
