Head temperature transmitter for HART 4...20 mA signal conversion

UTN-500

Head temperature transmitter for RTD, TC, Ohm and mV inputs, with HART protocol, 2-wire 4...20 mA output, galvanic isolation, NAMUR NE43 fault reaction and head form B mounting to DIN 43729.

Introduction

Temperature signals from different sensor types can be standardized directly in the terminal head. This head temperature transmitter converts RTD, thermocouple, Ohm and mV inputs into a 2-wire 4...20 mA output with HART protocol, supporting clear integration into process measurement loops.

The galvanically isolated signal helps protect the measuring chain, while NAMUR NE43 fault reaction provides defined behavior if a sensor fault occurs. That gives plant operators a reliable analog signal and diagnostic clarity from one compact head-mounted device.

Designed for head form B mounting to DIN 43729, the transmitter fits directly into suitable temperature assemblies. The datasheet specifies use in non-hazardous areas and lists UL recognition, SIL IEC 61508/61511 and GL Marine support for applications where documented approvals matter.
