For PC-based work with GMH 3xxx handheld instruments, a clean USB connection keeps setup simple and reduces interface risk. The galvanically isolated converter links the instrument directly to a PC and makes the connection available as an additional COM port for compatible software.
Commissioning is straightforward on supported Windows systems. The adapter is powered via the USB port, so no separate supply voltage is required. A standard USB Type A plug connects to the PC, while the 3.5 mm stereo jack connects directly to the GMH 3xxx instrument.
The compact cable format fits routine service, laboratory and field-related PC workflows where handheld measurement data needs to be handled through a computer. With approx. 2 m cable length, approx. 35 g weight and operating conditions from 0 ... +50 °C, it is a practical accessory for everyday portable measurement tasks.
The converter uses a standard USB Type A plug for connection to the PC and requires one free USB port.
A 3.5 mm stereo jack provides direct connection to GMH 3xxx handheld instruments.
After driver installation, the adapter appears as USB Serial Port (COMx). The COM port number can be changed in Windows Device Manager.
The installation requires administrator rights and supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2008 and Windows 2008 R2.
The device meets the essential EMC protection requirements of Directive 2004/108/EC and is tested according to EN 61326-1.
